Lighting for public places helps people to feel safe and orient themselves and contributes to the city’s character depending on the layout and luminaire design. It is an effective way to make selected places attractive and thus contribute to people wanting to move in the area.
» DEMANDING ENVIRONMENTS – The physical design of the luminaires is of utmost importance because luminaires in outdoor environments are exposed to enormously tough strains and the risk of vandalism. High-quality street luminaires should have a high density class (IP) and vandal class (IK). The luminaire housing should have efficient heat dissipation with solid heat sinks and be made of corrosion-resistant material with oven-hardened powder coating. Five-year warranty provides the conditions for a worry-free and safe operation of the facility.
» DESIGN OF THE PUBLIC SPACES – Each public place is unique and it is important to place the lighting so that the risk of collision or other external damage can be minimized.
» BCOMFORTABLE AND GLARE-FREE LIGHTING – For best lighting comfort, poles in heights of 3-5m and effects adapted to lighting class if one is defined are recommended. Rounded, symmetrical light images are widely used for lighting public places and the low-glare light source is placed so that it does not end up at eye level.
» MINIMIZED LIGHT POLLUTION – A sharp cut-off and well-thought-out luminaire design is important to eliminate the light that spreads upwards from the luminaire. The night sky should be preserved because it is believed that light pollution affects species and ecosystem functions.
We strive to make public places attractive day and night and are convinced that light contributes to more vibrant and welcoming meeting places. Therefore, we have developed a comprehensive range of park luminaires for pole tops with different expressions and designs, bollards, floodlights as well as poles and brackets to be able to adapt every project to conditions and needs.
With almost 20 years of experience in lighting for public places, we have developed custom luminaires with low-glare optics to handle the high expectations in light comfort in public spaces. An optimized lighting image benefits not only residents and visitors, but also nearby homes and nature around illuminated places. The right luminaire with the right optics places the light where it is needed without unpleasant glare and contributes to minimized light pollution.
There are many parameters that come into play when planning a road lighting system. In addition to the basic parts of the road profile, such as lighting class, road width, post height, post distance and the post’s position in relation to the road, it is also important to take into account any maintenance factor, number of lanes and road surface reflection properties. Our skilled consultants help with lighting calculations completely free of charge.
