One of Sweden's most modern floorball stadiums
The arena was opened in 2005 and is owned by IBF Falun through its wholly owned subsidiary, Falu Innebandyarena AB.
ASSIGNMENT
To modernize and prepare for the upcoming phase-out of T5 and T8 fluorescent lamps, the arena's lighting needed to be reviewed. Lighting calculations were made and early on it became clear that significant savings would be made in the future, despite higher illumination levels.
SOLUTION
The lighting in the stadium was upgraded from traditional T5 fluorescent tubes to modern LED ECHO 1 luminaires with integrated smart DALI control, which among other things enables stepless regulation of brightness. In addition to lighting the playing field, some of the luminaires are used to illuminate the stands and aisles, which have been dimmed down to only 36 W.
The upgrade of the Guide Arena has brought benefits such as reduced energy consumption, less environmental impact and better lighting values.
