An ISO 9001 quality management system ensures that operations are efficient and structured and that procedures and processes are continuously improved. The ISO 14001 standard helps the organisation to regularly review the environmental impact of its operations, both internally and in customer projects. Many customers require the supplier to be certified and the fact that we are now certified provides extra reassurance to all our customers and partners.
The work has been huge and has required the commitment of the entire staff. Sustainability and environmental impact are a major focus in everything we do and now we have also reviewed and improved, for example, our own waste and purchasing practices, along with many other things!
ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 are international standards for the certification of environmental and quality management systems in companies and other organisations respectively. The certificates are issued by an external certification body - in our case RISE - which regularly verifies that businesses are working to the requirements of the standard.
